qualitative user research, marketing & communication strategy
Pooja is a researcher with the Rural Market Insight (RMI) team at CDF. She focuses on understanding consumer context, perspective and behaviour that influence design, strategy and use of energy and water products targeted at base-of-the-pyramid Indian communities.
Pooja's work continues to look for synergies between the public and private sectors to impact global development. Her decision to move to India in 2008 was prompted by a Fellowship with the American India Foundation. As an AIF Fellow based in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh she worked on implementation and strategy for a vocational education program benefitting urban slum and rural youth. Prior to this, Pooja worked as a communication strategist in the Marketing Communications department at Apple, Inc. in California.
